POST BRIS INSTRUCTIONS

Day of The Bris (day #1)
Change gauze pad with A & D ointment at every diaper change.

DO NOT pull it off with force. If it does not come off readily, wait until the next diaper change.

The Mohel will return the day after the Bris to remove the other bandages. DO NOT attempt to remove the bandages on your own unless otherwise instructed.

Day After the Bris (day #2)
After all bandages have been removed by the Mohel, continue to cover the affected area for the next 3 days.

1. For the first 24 hours, use POLYSPORIN ointment on a gauze
pad after every diaper change. If by chance you have difficulty removing the pad , use BABY OIL to facilitate removal. If you still can't loosen the pad wait until the next diaper change.

(day #3 and #4)
2. After 24 hrs. switch back to A & D OINTMENT on the pad for another 48 hrs.

3. After day # 4 (provided the umbilical cord has fallen off and the area is dry ) give the baby a bath, with mild soap, in warm water. This will promote the healing process. Should some areas still look affected, apply some A & D Ointment (without pad) to the area.
